Security Consulting
Consulting can be offered in one, or
a combination of two time frames; Initial or Ongoing.
An initial
consultation of a client’s security needs - generally referred to as a Physical Security Assessment (or PSA) -
is our way of benchmarking a client’s current physical security posture. This process consists of onsite surveys and
interviews, along with offsite research, culminating in a comprehensive Report of Findings & Recommendations
(RFR). The RFR is a tool that helps
clients determine their next steps in either a limited or a comprehensive
security program.
Most commonly,
a Physical Security Assessment is overt, with all applicable staff aware of - and
participating in - the process.
Occasionally, portions of a PSA are covert, with only limited staff
aware and participating. Such a covert
approach is referred to in industry parlance as Penetration Testing.
Consultation beyond the initial assessment may be required in order to address a client's ongoing security need. This approach is essential where a client has a highly dynamic environment that required ongoing reassessment and adjustment to their security posture. Such services may be provided on a periodic, as-needed basis, or as part of a regularly-scheduled program (annually, quarterly or monthly).
